This Summer EU welcome is organising two walks for people from Eastern Europe.
Titanic, World Wars and Southampton 100 years ago
A walk round the cemetery on the Common!
Wednesday 27 June .6.30pm meeting at the Lodge, Cemetery Road (off Northlands Road) SO15 7NN
On this walk we will find out about how the sinking of the Titanic, and the World Wars effected Southampton, and we will get a picture of 19th and early 20th century life in the city.
Pirates, Perils and Plots
A walk round the old city of Southampton
Sunday 22 July 3.00pm. Meet at the Bargate (the old city gate in the town centre)
Here we will find out how Southampton was once raided by a large pirate fleet, how life used to be so dangerous in the city and how there was once a plot to kill a king in Southampton!
Both these walks are free and will be great fun for everyone. The walk will be led by a local expert with translation into Polish
